Dear Parents,

This coming week, we will continue with place value in math.    In Lang. Arts, we will read a non-fiction, informational text called, "Animal Groups".  We will also work on CVCe words with the long i sound. I've noticed that many of our students did not turn in their slips for their ability to perform on March 2nd.  I will give another notice today, on Monday, and if your child is interested in performing at the Simi Valley Library, I will need that slip by Tuesday, this week.  I'm giving out parts. They will perform on March 2, Saturday, at the Simi Valley Library.  Have a great week.

Your 1st grader's teacher,

Mrs. Vise

Every night, students are to read for 20 minutes, and complete their math lesson packet, Monday through Thursday.

Your child is assigned a "Home Reader", and they will be responsible for their own homework.  Every child should be adding a sticker, daily, to their Home Reading paper. They are to have a Home Reader and a math page with little to few math problems to turn in to me the following day.  Please make sure they bring their Homework Folder, every day, to and from school.

Students are to study both addition and subtraction flash cards for math tests.
